Front End Cashier

Job Summary:

The Front End Cashier is the first point of contact for customers, providing efficient, friendly, and professional checkout service. A Front End Cashier is responsible for accurately handling transactions, processing payments, and ensuring each customer enjoys a positive shopping experience. The Front End Cashier works closely with front-end team members to maintain a clean, organized, and customer-focused environment.

A successful Front End Cashier greets customers with courtesy, manages cash registers, handles returns and exchanges, and assists with store inquiries. The Front End Cashier must demonstrate excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and reliability in handling financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process sales transactions as a Front End Cashier using POS systems.

• Handle cash, credit, and digital payments with accuracy.

• Issue receipts, refunds, and exchanges efficiently.

• Maintain an organized and tidy checkout area.

• Greet customers and answer questions regarding products or promotions.

• Support other Front End Cashiers during busy hours.

• Report discrepancies or register issues to supervisors.

• Follow company cash handling and security procedures.

• Contribute to a positive shopping experience through exceptional customer service.

Requirements And Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Prior experience as a Front End Cashier or retail cashier preferred.

• Strong numerical and communication skills.

• Familiarity with POS systems and digital payment methods.

• Excellent customer service and time management abilities.

• Dependable, honest, and detail-oriented.

• Ability to stand for long periods and work flexible shifts.
