Janitor

Job Summary:

A Janitor plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and hygiene of facilities. The Janitor ensures that all floors, restrooms, hallways, and public areas remain clean, sanitized, and well-maintained. The Janitor also assists in basic maintenance tasks and ensures a safe and comfortable environment for employees and visitors.

A responsible Janitor follows a consistent cleaning schedule, handles equipment properly, and complies with sanitation standards. The Janitor is dependable, thorough, and committed to maintaining a spotless workspace.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform cleaning and maintenance duties as a Janitor.

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors daily.

• Sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies.

• Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly.

• Operate cleaning equipment safely.

• Follow health, hygiene, and safety protocols.

• Report maintenance issues or hazards to supervisors.

• Maintain inventory of cleaning materials.

• Assist other Janitors or staff during large cleaning projects.

Requirements And Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Prior experience as a Janitor, cleaner, or custodian preferred.

• Knowledge of cleaning tools, chemicals, and safety procedures.

• Physical ability to perform repetitive tasks.

• Attention to detail and reliability.

• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Positive work ethic and good time management skills.
