Job Description: Cashier
A Cashier plays an essential role in providing excellent customer service while ensuring smooth and accurate transactions. The Cashier is the first and last point of contact for customers, making this position vital in creating a positive shopping experience. The Cashier is responsible for handling payments, processing purchases, and maintaining accuracy in all transactions. A dependable Cashier demonstrates professionalism, efficiency, and attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment.
The Cashier will greet customers, scan merchandise, process cash, credit, and digital payments, and issue receipts. The Cashier must also handle returns, exchanges, and refunds according to company policies. The Cashier also assists with bagging merchandise, managing cash drawers, and balancing registers at the end of shifts.
