Houseperson Banquet

Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and energetic Houseperson – Banquet to join our events and banquet services team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring that meeting rooms, ballrooms, and banquet spaces are always clean, organized, and set up to meet guest and event requirements. The Houseperson supports the banquet team by setting up and breaking down tables, chairs, staging, dance floors, and other equipment, as well as ensuring cleanliness and presentation standards are consistently met.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setting up banquet rooms according to event orders, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, staging, and other equipment.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in banquet and meeting spaces before, during, and after events.

• Replenish banquet supplies, including water stations, glasses, and linens as needed.

• Break down event spaces efficiently and return all equipment to proper storage areas.

• Ensure that rooms are reset promptly and accurately for upcoming functions.

• Monitor the condition of banquet equipment and report any damage or safety hazards.

• Support banquet servers and managers with additional duties to ensure smooth event execution.

• Provide courteous and helpful assistance to guests and clients when needed.

• Comply with company safety standards and maintain a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hospitality, events, or banquet services preferred.

• Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team-oriented environment.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business requires.
