Overview

We are seeking a Line Cook / Kitchen Associate to prepare food of consistent quality and assist with overall kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare food according to recipes, portion standards, and server checks.

• Start food items in advance without over-preparing estimated needs.

• Label, date, and rotate food containers in line with HEI standards.

• Monitor inventory, assist with prep, freezer pulls, and buffet stocking.

• Return unused food items properly stored and labeled.

• Help manage food costs by reducing waste and monitoring usage.

• Safely operate and clean kitchen equipment (deep fryer, grill, stove, mixer, slicer, steamer, etc.).

• Maintain regular attendance and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

• Prior hotel or hospitality kitchen experience preferred.

• Ability to operate kitchen machinery with dexterity.

• Physical ability to lift/move up to 100 lbs. on a regular basis.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt to different audiences (supervisors, coworkers, guests).
