Position Summary

The Banquet Assistant supports the Banquet Manager in preparing for events and ensuring a positive guest experience. This role requires strong teamwork, communication, and the physical ability to set up, maintain, and break down banquet and meeting spaces according to guest specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate with supervisors throughout shifts to remain updated on assignments.

• Set up meeting rooms per guest specifications (tables, chairs, stages, dance floors, etc.).

• Supply and replenish meeting rooms with clean glasses and fresh water.

• Break down meeting rooms post-event and return equipment to storage areas.

• Maintain cleanliness of meeting rooms and ballrooms at all times.

• Adhere to the attendance policy and maintain reliable work availability.

• Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

• Knowledge of meeting room setups (banquet rounds, schoolroom style, etc.).

• Ability to lift and move tables, chairs, podiums (up to 100 lbs) safely.

• Ability to push carts/trucks weighing up to 500 lbs.

• Capacity to stand and perform physical tasks for extended periods.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with adaptability for various audiences.
