Security Officer

Job Overview

We are seeking a Security Officer to ensure the safety and protection of people, property, and assets. This role is responsible for maintaining a secure environment by monitoring premises, enforcing policies, and responding to incidents in a professional and timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Patrol and monitor premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or unsafe conditions.

• Control access points and verify identification of employees, visitors, and contractors.

• Respond to alarms, emergencies, and disturbances; take appropriate action.

• Write detailed incident and activity reports.

• Enforce company rules, regulations, and safety procedures.

• Provide assistance and excellent customer service to employees and visitors.

• Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Previous security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred.

• Valid security officer license or certification (as required by state/local regulations).

• Strong observational and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to remain calm and act decisively in emergency situations.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Must be able to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
