Overview

We are seeking a Staff Android Lead to drive the design, development, and delivery of cutting-edge Android applications that power next-generation user experiences. This role combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership skills - you will mentor engineers, define architecture, and collaborate across teams to deliver scalable, high-quality mobile solutions.

As the technical lead, you'll play a pivotal role in setting direction for Android initiatives, championing best practices, and ensuring our apps are performant, secure, and customer-obsessed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Android engineers, fostering technical excellence and growth.

• Define and own architecture for Android applications, ensuring scalability and maintainability.

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business goals.

• Drive adoption of modern Android frameworks, tools, and development best practices.

• Review code, guide design decisions, and ensure software quality standards.

• Stay ahead of industry trends and bring innovative ideas into product roadmaps.

• Contribute to hands-on development of complex features when needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• 7+ years of professional Android development experience.

• Proven leadership experience as a Tech Lead, Staff Engineer, or Engineering Manager.

• Strong expertise in Kotlin, Jetpack libraries, Android SDK, and performance optimization.

• Solid understanding of mobile architecture patterns (MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture).

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and code quality tools.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and guide teams.

Preferred: Experience with multi-module architectures, cross-platform frameworks (Flutter/React Native), or automotive/embedded Android development.
